BHS Racing will in 2008 contest in the WA Superbike Championship with our own 2007 State Superbike Champion Matt Battista on the R1.  Drive and ambition along with the support of technicians and crew will see Matt head for another superb year in Road Racing. 
A new member to our team is Tommy Hatton who is coming onboard riding in the Supersport Championship on a Yamaha R6. 
BHS support 2006/07 WA Supersport Champion Cameron Stronach in his 10 month apprenticeship contract in Italy where he will be riding for Team O Six Kawasaki Supported at the 2008 World Superbike Championship in the Superstock events.

June 30th:    Our very own team member WA Superbike Champion and 26 time WA Motocross Champion Matt Battista had a major crash during round three of the WA Superbike Championship at Wanneroo Raceway on Sunday, June 29.

The race incident was major and Matt was transported to Joondalup Hospital before being transferred to Royal Perth Hospital with major spinal injuries.

Matt has sustained a dislocated shoulder, a broken shoulder and a number of broken ribs but the spinal injuries were the major concern.

On Monday Matt underwent an MRI scan which unfortunately confirmed the initial prognosis of paraplegia.

We here at BHS Engineering are shattered and will be behind the Battista family to provide ongoing support at this difficult time. 

June 26th:  Best racing in the State…..Come along to Barbagallo Raceway this Sunday 29th June and see our very own BHS Racing #1 Matt Battista ride to keep his 23 point lead in the championship and Local lap record from WA riders Ben Stronach. Mark Schnierer and Chris Galbraith…who will be fighting to catch up with Matt.   Also on board the BHS team is Supersport Rider Tommy Hatton #76 in his debute season for the team coming back to Round 3 after sustaining a shoulder injury and slight concussion at Rd 2.   Although still some discomfort in the shoulder he is cleared to ride and his number one bike is on song..along with his number 2 bike preped and ready for the wet.  Tommy has the package to gain much needed points.  With the weather predicting a WET weekend…the team are excited.

Practice from 9am - 11am Racing from 11.30am 17 event programme of superbikes, supersport, superstocks, Clubman and Formula 2 plus Sidecars.
Tickets at the Gate : Entry Adults $20 (incl. programme) Seniors $10 Children 15 yrs and under free. Free walk in entry to Pit paddock. Catering on site pit paddock area. Grassed viewing areas (no animals allowed exception guide dogs) Disabled parking & viewing area.

May 27th:  Young Junior Rider Aiden Hopkins..gives us his Story from Sunday May 25th Round 2 of the Chad Peters Junior Series at Barbagallo.  Look out for this young rider as he is only 14 yrs old and can give us reports far in front of superior riders and more than his peers..well done Aiden.

May 20th:  Congratulations to Matt Battista from all at BHS for bringing back the Local Lap Record and taking out 3 from 3 wins on the day…check out results.  Not so good a day for new rider Tommy Hatton after 4 leading laps in race 1 he crashed out in the basin.  Unfortunately Tommy sustained shoulder and head injury that put him out for the rest of the meeting.  Tommy called us later that night and was home resting a broken collarbone.  He will be back fighting fit for Round 3.  Congratulations to Adam Senior who is undefeated in the last 2 rounds and has had 6 from 6 wins.  Next race meeting will be fantastic with Ben Stronach ready to fight back his championship points and Tommy determined to make it into the top 3.  Click to access race event dates…mcrcwa

May 14th:  World Superstock Rider Reports from Monza - Cameron Stronach # 57

May 11th:  HOT PRESS - World Superstock Rider Cameron Stronach finished 21st out of 40 riders at Round 3 of the World Superstock 1000 FIM Cup in Monza.  Fastest lap 1:53.073 on Team O Six Kawasaki Supported ZX-10R.  Cameron returns to Perth on Wednesday 14th for a well earned R & R…click here for Results.

April 19th: Reminder to all WA riders for the up and coming WA State Superbike Championship….check out MCRCWA for all the news on this event.  This is a two day event…Saturday 26th is compulsory to practice and qualify…should you not make Saturday then come along to race Sunday but be prepared to be at the back of the grid.  This will be one of the best events as the Juniors are racing and they are our future champions.  BHS Engineering offers support to young Junior rider # 14 Aiden Hopkins.
